Spanish 3

Course Description:

In Spanish 3, students will be engaged in meaningful, motivating, and cognitively challenging work. Students will actively use the target language to develop an understanding of cultural perspectives through experiences with cultural products and practices. Learning will be assessed by a summative task that emphasizes global connections. Instruction based on the goals and standards cited in this curriculum will prepare students to function culturally and linguistically in our global society.

Some of the big ideas that the students will be exposed to are:

• Unit 1: ¿Qué tan buen amigo soy?

• Unit 2: ¿Qué nos dice el arte?

• Unit 3: ¿Cómo nos influyen la música y el cine?

• Unit 4: Cuida tu salud

YOUR GRADES ARE BASED ON: 

• Interpretive                 → 30%

• Interpersonal               → 30%

• Presentational             → 30% 

• Class Participation       → 10%

MATERIALS NEEDED FOR CLASS:

• One composition notebook / Section of a Binder

• Writing utensils

• Headphones 

• (Charged) Chromebook

CLASSROOM RULES:

Upon entering this class, you will be treated like an adult.  By now, you have been in school long enough to know what behaviors are appropriate.  Mutual respect is expected by all. Remember, we are all in this together. All school rules will apply.
